With over 5 years in the AIG / Chartis Aerospace world plus other great experiences, Jay Ferro has accepted that his personal sweet spot is IT Governance, and he does not run from it at all. Jay was comfortable with IT right out of the gates of UGA in ‘92 and he has continued to enjoy his chosen profession. After lots of hands-on experiences with several large projects, he has developed a mastery with IT strategy and process development. His self-molded formula for planning and implementation has earned positive stripes and Jay is now even being called on to make presentations to peer groups. Web conferencing tools are playing an increasingly active role in his work as his company’s international organization increases collaboration while decreasing travel. An unfair battle with cancer took his wife and Jay was forced to adopt single-parent status over the past few years. Sons ages twelve, nine, and six help keep him active and alert in all life’s roles. Jay is an exceptional guy and a great person to have in the community.
