Collaborative access to new ideas and connecting with experienced people was his mantra of the day. Senad Hadzic likes to share stories of lessons learned with other IT professionals and he has found the experiences of others to be of tremendous value to him. He recognizes the power of collaboration within any functional area, but within technology, he believes it is critical.

Developing collaborative processes and providing the tools for people to share information has become a major project within his company.  He has become an outspoken advocate of SharePoint and he is pleased with the expanded capabilities Microsoft has delivered. KaMin Performance Minerals became involved with SharePoint for one need and they have now expanded the scope to serve many additional needs within his company.

Hadzic also acknowledges the importance of connecting and collaborating with others who have more depth in the topics of interest to him. To illustrate the importance of connecting with other professionals, he points to his relationship with Northridge Systems. He is quick to make reference to the day he met a Northridge executive while attending a TechLINKS event. The mutual interest discovered during casual conversation matured into a long term contractual relationship between their organizations. Hadzic was interested to meet other IT professionals who could provide him with examples of actual success cases. Northridge had many such experiences to share and the rest is history.

Hadzic was very complimentary of the recent TechLINKS event which permitted IT practitioners to present real projects. He offered several suggestions for ways to build on the success of the format used at the event to engage the attendees in discussion. One suggestion was to provide a platform for experienced vendors to pass along new ideas. Hadzic believes that many IT vendors have ideas and experiences that would be useful to him and his peers. “Bring them out and let’s hear them,” said Hadzic.
