Steve Schuckenbrock to Speak at 2011 CIO of the Year® Awards

Atlanta, GA – Friday, July 22, 2011 – Steve Schuckenbrock, President of Dell Services will be the featured speaker at the 2011 CIO of the Year Awards presented by Georgia CIO Leadership Association (GCLA).
Mr. Steve Schuckenbrock will deliver enlightening observations about the increasing importance of the CIO profession and how great CIOs should be highly sought after as valued candidates for functional leadership and COO/CEO roles.

Mr. Schuckenbrock will share a few key “nuggets” acquired along the path of his exciting and memorable journey as a CIO, COO and President.

Steve Schuckenbrock is president of Dell Services, the global IT services and business solutions unit that helps businesses, government agencies, healthcare providers and educational institutions worldwide operate more efficiently. Mr. Schuckenbrock has championed the development and delivery of end-to-end IT services and business solutions that reduce IT complexity and total costs. In his current role he is also responsible for global information technology systems at Dell.

Mr. Schuckenbrock’s impressive career path includes President, Large Enterprise, for Dell where he led delivery of globally consistent solutions and services to large commercial companies across the globe. Joining Dell in 2007 as CIO, he had oversight of worldwide information systems and technology infrastructure, and led Global Services where he built enterprise services into a multi-billion-dollar operation. Prior to joining Dell, Mr. Schuckenbrock was Co-chief operating officer and executive vice president of global sales and services for EDS, chief operating officer of The Feld Group, global CIO for PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay from 1995 to 1998 and CIO for PepsiCo from 1998 to 2000.
