CIO of the Year Awards Will Accept Nominations February 17th

Atlanta, GA, - Monday, February 14, 2011 - The Georgia CIO Leadership Association (GCLA), the professional organization for Georgia’s information technology leaders, will accept nominations for the thirteenth annual CIO of the Year® Awards on February 17, 2011.

 

The Georgia CIO of the Year® Awards recognize and honor technology executives who have delivered outstanding leadership and business value. Based on size, the four award categories available for nomination are; Global, Enterprise, Corporate and Non-Profit.  A fifth award for Lifetime Achievement, as determined by the GCLA, will be presented in addition to the four categories at the awards ceremony on October 28, 2011.

 

The “CIO Awards” is considered the premiere technology executive recognition program in the state.  Chief Information Officers who leverage information technology to provide agile and innovative solutions for their organizations should be nominated for participation.

 

Nominations for the CIO Awards may be made by anyone with firsthand knowledge of the accomplishments and performance of a specific CIO. This may include staff members, partners, service providers, former employees, vendors, associates and other CIOs who are aware of deserving candidates.  The nomination process has been streamlined to take less than five minutes, click here to nominate.

Nominee requirements:

  • Holds the title of Chief Information Officer or equivalent
  • Is employed by a Georgia-based business or a subsidiary based in Georgia
  • Has primary responsibility for the IT performance of the company
  • Is a member of top management
  • Has a proven track record of technology leadership
  • Has held current position since prior to 5/31/10
