WIT Announces Finalists and Honorees for Women of the Year in Technology Awards
ATLANTA, Georgia - Aug 22, 2008

Women in Technology (WIT) is announcing today the individuals selected as finalists for the ninth annual Women of the Year in Technology Awards presented by Grant Thornton. The finalists were announced at the VIP reception on Aug. 14.

The finalists in the enterprise business category are:

Mary Ann Green, vice president of Airline Operations Systems, Delta Technology/Delta Airlines;

 

Marianne Johnson, senior vice president of Global Technology New Product Innovation, Equifax, Inc.; and

 

Deborah Kelso-Jenkins, vice president of Strategy and Operational Excellence, InterContinental Hotels Group.

 

The finalists in the medium business category are:

Theresa Brunasso, principal engineer & director of Technology Development, EMS Technologies, Defense & Space Systems;

Debbie Everidge, senior director of Information Technology,  Sciele Pharma, Inc.; and

Jo Ram, chief operating officer and vice president of Product Development, Indusa Global, LLC.

The finalists in the small business category are:

Nadia Butler, chief executive officer, president and co-founder,  ESi;

Lynn Do, president and chief executive officer, Renovo Data, Inc.; and

 Radhika Subramanian, chief executive officer,   Emcien Corporation.

Finalists for the Women of the Year in Technology Award will participate in an interview conducted by the 2008 Women of the Year Award judging panel focusing on each finalist’s accomplishments within their organization, in the community and in the important role of mentor to other women.  The judges then select the winner in each category based on the merit of their applications and the strength of their interviews.

“The finalists and honorees for each category for the 2008 Women of the Year in Technology Awards are outstanding, accomplished leaders in the field,” says Judi Vitale, president of Women in Technology. “It will be a challenge for the judges to narrow the field of finalists to just three winners out of all these very qualified women.”

More than 40 women were honored by being nominated as a Woman of the Year in Technology.  In addition to finalists listed above, the 2008 honorees are:
