| How do I log in to the Member Center? |
- Click on the “Log In” link at the top of each page. The Log In page will appear.
- Enter your User Name (usually your email address) and Password.
- Click on “Log In” button.
- Click on Subscribe / Member Center in the menu on the top of the page.
- Your profile should be displayed.

| I forgot my password. How can it be sent to me? |
- At the Log In screen, enter your User Name (usually your email address) into the User Name box.
- Click on the “Password Reminder” button.
- Your password will be immediately sent to your email address.

| How can I unsubscribe from the email broadcast and/or the magazine? |
- Log in to the Member Center.
- Go to your profile.
- To unsubscribe to the magazine click on the “No” option. To unsubscribe to the email broadcast click on the “No Thanks” option.
- Click on the word “Update” at the bottom of the form.
Due to publishing schedules, you may still receive one more issue(s) of the magazine. Please allow 2 to 3 business days for the email broadcast to stop. |
| When I Log In, I see “Username Does Not Exist.” However, I am receiving the email broadcast each day. What do I do? |
| The email broadcast is only sent to registered members of TechLINKS who have indicated they want the broadcast. Please be sure that you are receiving the broadcast directly from TechLINKS. Some employers forward the broadcast to their employees. If you are not able to find the source of your broadcast, please send an email to support@techlinks.net. |
| How can I change my email address to which the TechLINKS broadcast is sent? |
- Log In to TechLINKS.
- Click on Subscribe / Member Center.
- Find the Email Address data box.
- Replace the existing email address with your new email address.
- Click on Update at the bottom of the page.

| How can I receive the email broadcast in HTML format? |
- Log in to the Member Center.
- Go to the bottom of your profile.
- Click on the HTML option to the right of “Subscribe to Email Broadcast.”
- Click on “Update” at the bottom of the page to save the change.
Allow 2-3 business days for the change to take place. |

| Topics of potential interest to a C-level business and technology audience. Flip through our magazine, read our press releases and Community Publishing articles, and explore our events calendar to find out what topics are of most relevance to our audience. |
| How do I submit an article? |
- Log in to the Member Center.
- Click on Community Publishing.
- Click on Create Article.
- Begin by clicking on the first document icon next to “Create Title and Summary Page”. Please fill in the appropriate information and then click on “Save Work” at the bottom of the page.
- Then, click on the second document icon next to “Add Content Pages” to create or copy and paste the text of your article.
- Next, click on the third document icon next to “Preview Your Article” to proof the article before you submit it.
- Finally, click on the fourth document icon next to “Submit Article For Approval” to submit the article.

| What length should my article be? |
| 800-1200 words. Articles of exceptionally high quality that go beyond 1200 words may be accepted. Anything lower than 800 words will NOT be accepted. |
| Do you accept bylines? |
| We do not accept by-lined articles in the magazine. However, we do accept articles through Community Publishing that meet our editorial standards. |
| I wrote an article of 800-1200 words, but it was not accepted. Why? |
- It contained advertising. Articles must be content-oriented, not advertisements about products or services.
- It contained a focus on a particular person(s) or business(s). Articles must focus on trends and issues in a broad sense. (Do not try to replicate feature articles in our magazine by interviewing multiple sources.)
- It was a press release or event promotion.
- It was poorly written. Articles must be suitable or near suitable for publication.
- It strayed from a topic of interest to our audience. Articles must be targeted to a C-level business and technology audience.

| How do I enter a profile for my company on TechLINKS Exchange? |
| Getting listed in TechLINKS Exchange is a two step process –
Step 1: Submit an application
Step 2: After you are approved, set up your organization profile
To complete Step 1 simply follow the instructions below. The whole process should only take you a few minutes and then you’ll be in the queue for approval.
- Login to www.techlinks.net
- If you are not a member of TechLINKS, select Subscribe/Member Center at top of page and register. Then proceed to Step 3. If you are a member of TechLINKS, proceed to Step 3.
- Select TechLINKS Exchange.
- Click on “Become a Provider”.
- You will be asked to fill out a short Application Form.
- You will receive an email informing you that your application has been approved along with instructions regarding how to edit your profile.

| How do I edit my profile in TechLINKS Exchange? |
To edit your profile in TechLINKS Exchange –
- Login to www.techlinks.net (using the same username and password as when you set up your profile)
- Click on TechLINKS Exchange (selection on left side of home page).
- Click on “Administer Your Profile”.
- To add or change information click on EDIT.
- Complete all data fields that apply to your organization.
- When finished, click on UPDATE.
- To select target industries and upload executive profiles, white papers and case studies select the appropriate link at the bottom of the page.

| I want to update my profile but I have forgotten my login password. |
| On the Login page, enter your username and click on Password Reminder at the bottom of the page. An email with your password will be sent to you. |
| What format must my logo be in for it to display clearly on my profile? |
| The logo must be either a .jpg or .gif file. In order for it to display most clearly it must be 250px wide (height does not matter). |
| I uploaded my logo and there is a white box showing up on my profile. |
| Your logo does not meet the format requirements (see Q&A regarding logo format requirements). |
| What is the sub-category field? |
| The sub-category field gives you the opportunity to further differentiate your organization by describing your business at a more detailed level than category. For example, if your organization is in the Business Systems and Quality Assurance category, your sub-category could be Financial Software or Document Imaging Software. This field is also used in your TechLINKS magazine ad. |
| What is the sweet spot field? |
| The sweet spot field provides you the opportunity to summarize your organization’s core expertise and differentiators in 400 characters or less. |
| I am getting an error message that my sweet spot is over 400 characters but it is not. |
| Make sure you are counting the spaces as part of the 400 characters. Sometimes if you cut and paste your sweet spot into the field there are “hidden” spaces that you do not see. Delete the contents and key in the sweet spot text. |
| I can not get the system to accept my executive profile text. |
| You must upload a photograph of the executive in order for the system to accept the text. |
| What format must the executive photo be in to display clearly? |
| The photo should be no more than 210px wide in .gif or .jpg format. |
| What format must my white papers be in to upload into my TLX profile? |
| White papers must be in either a Word document or .pdf format |
| Why am I being asked to Become a Provider on the TLX home page when I already have a profile? |
| You must be logged in to the TechLINKS website using the same username and password as when you set up your profile or the system will not recognize you as a current participating provider and take you to your profile. |
| What is the Additional Profile Admin Email field on the profile application form used for? |
| It allows you to enter the email address for another person who will have access to update your profile. This is a required field. If you do not have another person to add, just enter your email address again. |
| How can I determine the current format of my logo or executive photo? |
To determine the current format of your logo or photo --
- Right click on the file and click “Properties”
- Next to “Type of file:” it will tell you if it is a jpeg, gif, or other file type.
- Click on the “Summary” tab at the top.
- In the bottom right hand corner of that screen, hit “Advanced” (if the button says “Simple” you are already on the correct screen).
- You can see the width and height of the image in pixels on this screen.
