The Georgia CIO Leadership Association (GCLA), the professional organization for Georgia’s information technology leaders, is now accepting nominations for the tenth annual Georgia CIO of the Year® Awards. Nomination forms are available on www.georgiacioawards.com/nominee .
The Georgia CIO of the Year® Awards recognize and honor individual technology executives based on the approximate size of the IT organization. Awards will be divided into four categories; Global, Enterprise, Corporate and Non-Profit. The awards ceremony will take place in the fall of 2008 (date/location to be announced).
Nominee requirements:
- Must hold the title of Chief Information Officer or equivalent
- Be employed by a Georgia-based business or oversee a subsidiary based in Georgia
- Have primary responsibility for the performance of the company as it relates to IT
- Be a member of top management
- Have a proven track record of technology leadership
- Have held current position since prior to 9/30/07
The “CIO Awards” is considered the premier technology executive recognition program in the state and has been recognized by CIO magazine as the only event of its kind in the nation. Deserving candidates who leverage information technology to provide agile and innovative solutions for their organizations are encouraged to submit nominations.
All candidates are judged on innovation and creativity in the planning and deployment of their enterprise systems, future IT goals, management philosophy and service to the industry and community. Finalists and winners in all four categories of the Georgia CIO of the Year® Awards are chosen by the official CIO of the Year® Judging Committee. Candidates are considered based on their completed nomination forms and personal interviews.
